Grants
The Department of Corrections provides grants to various victim service organizations with funds generated by the sale of confiscated inmate contraband and also from funds raised by inmate organizations. Fifteen percent of funds generated by inmate groups is devoted to enhancing victim services around the state. Announcements for grant opportunities are presented periodically.



Other sexual assault centers who received funds are:
-Pickens County Rape Crisis Center
-Grand Strand Community Against Rape Crisis Center, which serves Horry and Georgetown Counties
-Greenville Sexual Trauma Center
-Sexual Assault Center for Kershaw and Lee Counties
-Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault, which covers Chesterfield, Marlboro, Marion, Williamsburg, Dillon, Darlington, and Florence Counties.
